Full refunds (Including material and model fees) are given for classes withdrawn from 10 or more days before the first class, less a $25 administrative fee. No tuition refunds can be given thereafter. No partial refunds, pro-rated classes or make-up classes are offered for student absence or scheduling conflicts.
The online registration process sends a receipt of your online transaction to your e-mail account. Classes will be confirmed by e-mail, just prior to the start of class. Students are encouraged to call the Center with any questions about enrollment status. In the event that a course is full, the New Art Center will notify students and fully refund tuition. The New Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes with a full refund if enrollment is insuffient to run the class.

Certified hearing dogs and service animals are welcome. The Main Gallery is wheelchair accessible. To attend classes students must be able to function independently or be accompanied by an aide.
New Art Center programs are sometimes videotaped or photographed for publicity in catalogs, newspapers, radio, or television. Permission to be included in publicity is implied by enrollment. Please contact the office in writing if you do not wish to be included in publicity.
Parents must notify the office about any medical conditions, allergies, learning styles, social needs, or other special circumstances that might affect your child's participation in the program, at the start of each term. Medications must remain in the New Art Center office, children may not self-administer any medications.
New Art Center Gift Certificates are available in any dollar amount for use with all Adult, Teen, and Children’s classes. For more information, call us at 617-964-3424, or stop by the office.
In the event of bad weather, daytime weekday classes will be cancelled only if the Newton Public Schools are closed. Channel 5 will also list closings for the New Art Center. When there is a morning delay for Newton Public Schools, please call the office. For evening and weekend classes, call the office to find out if your class is running. Class cancellations due to weather will be made up at the end of the term, if possible.

Registration: All registrations are taken on a first come, first-served basis. Full payment is due upon registration.

Waiting List: If a week is full at the time of registration, you may request to be put on a waiting list for that week and we will contact you if a space opens up. Call the office at 617-964-3424 for more information.
Confirmations: Confirmations will be sent out during the first week of June. Please make sure to clearly write the best email address to reach you, so you may obtain your confirmation and other important information.

Arrival Time and Pick-Up: The day program begins at 9:00 am. If you would like to drop your child off earlier, please register for Early Drop-Off. Pick-Up is from 3:45-4:00 pm. If you will be late picking your child up, please call the office at 617-964-3424, or your child will be automatically enrolled in Extended Day.
Parking and Access: The New Art Center has a small parking lot located off Madison Ave. Please follow any signs regarding the flow of traffic during drop-off and pick-up times.
Scholarships: Scholarships are available according to need, on a first-come, first-served basis. Please email Marte Humbert at Marte@NewArtCenter.org for an application.
Nuts/Allergies: Due to the prevalence of nut allergies, we encourage you to NOT send lunch or snacks containing nuts with your child. Some weeks will be specified as NUT-FREE weeks. This means no nut products at all may be sent to the New Art Center. Parents will be alerted via email if your child is attending a nut-free week.
Medications: All medications should be checked in with the office staff prior to the start of the week. Children may not keep medication in their backpacks or lunch boxes, and all medications will be administered by a staff person. Each student must submit an emergency form.
Behavior Management Policy: As each week begins, teachers will discuss appropriate behavior, language, and the safe, respectful use of materials in the classroom.
