Connections

Overview

Connections is the New Art Center’s community outreach program which aims to increase access to and engagement with the visual arts. Connections offers free group tours of our exhibits for school and community groups. Groups are invited to schedule a visit during our exhibitions season.

Group tours are interactive and age-appropriate. New Art Center staff and volunteers ask thoughtful and open-ended questions about the artwork on display. Groups can also choose to participate in a hands-on art making activity inspired by the exhibit on view. This program allows visitors to engage with, think about and respond to contemporary art. Connections shows how the understanding of art is a necessary part of modern life.
