Directions to the New Art Center

From the West: Take the Mass Pike East (90) to Exit 17 (Newton/Watertown). At the end of the ramp, go forward through one set of lights while moving to the far left lane.Bear left over bridge, moving one lane to the right.Follow the sign for West Newton.You are now heading west on Washington Street. Continue on Washington Street approximately 1.5 miles, to Walnut Street, a major four-way intersection with a traffic light. Turn left on Walnut Street, crossing the bridge over the Pike. Take second left onto Madison Avenue.Our parking lot and stone building are on the right after eight houses.

From the North and South: Take Rte. 128 (95) to the Mass Pike East (90) to Exit 17 (Newton/Watertown). At the end of the ramp, go forward through one set of lights while moving to the far left lane. From Boston and the North and South Shores: Take Rte. 93 to the Mass Pike West (90); continue on the Pike, passing the tolls for Cambridge.Get off the Pike at Exit 17 (Newton/Watertown). Go forward, following the sign for "West Newton," which puts you on Washington Street. Continue on Washington Street approximately 1.5 miles, to Walnut Street, a major four-way intersection with a traffic light.Turn left on Walnut Street, crossing the bridge over the Pike.Take second left onto Madison Avenue. Our parking lot and stone building are on the right after eight houses.

From Route 9 Westbound: Approximately one mile west of Chestnut Hill Mall, exit right onto Walnut Street (just before exit for Centre Street). Drive about 2 miles, passing City Hall and Commonwealth Avenue to Newtonville (a small commercial district). Take a right onto Madison Avenue (between Century 21 and Newtonville Pizza). Our parking lot and stone building are on the right after eight houses.

From Route 9 Eastbound: Exit right for Centre Street in Newton Highlands. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Centre Street and cross under Route 9. Turn left at the first light onto Walnut Street. Drive about 2 miles, passing City Hall and Commonwealth Avenue to Newtonville (a small commercial district). Take a right onto Madison Avenue (between Century 21 and Newtonville Pizza). Our parking lot and stone building are on the right after eight houses.

Public Transportation
The New Art Center can be reached taking the Green Line (D/Riverside) train to Newton Highlands, and by taking bus #59 North on Walnut Street, exit at CVS. The 59 bus can also be used from Watertown Square. Finally, we are accessible from South Station on the Framingham Commuter Line Train, exit at Newtonville.
