Works by Julie Weiman

The lustruous surfaces of Julie Weiman's paintings on panel begin with a minimum of six layers of acrylic medium, rice paper, and gesso before paint is applied. The subsequent process involves both adding and sanding paint and media, resulting in an insistent and multi-layered accumulation of paint that demonstrates Weiman's devotion to the process of mark making.
